For Esti, music has played an essential part in her life; she began her piano training under her mother at the age of four. She obtained a Master’s in Music degree in piano performance from Towson University under the guidance of Dr. Eva Mengelkoch and Prof. Reynaldo Reyes. During her years of master’s degree, Esti served as a Teaching Assistant to the music theory department in Towson University. She had performed in music ensembles, chamber music, as well as performed her own solo recitals. In Fall 2016, she won the Henry Sanborn Music Scholarship piano competition. On July 2018, she performed accompaniments and chamber pieces in Carnegie Hall, NYC. In Spring 2019, Esti won the Reynaldo Reyes Piano Endowed Scholarship. Prior to attending Towson University, she studies under a loving and inspiring teacher and pianist Aisha Sudiarso in Yayasan Pendidikan Musik, Indonesia. She has accomplished many awards in the annual jury such as Award for Promising Performance, Golden Award for Solfeggio, Award for Excellent Technique, and Award for Outstading Performance.

Esti began teaching piano in 2012 while she was still in high school. In 2016, Esti started her piano teaching career at Roberson School of Music in Columbia, Maryland, then continued to teach more than thirty private piano students in various Maryland music schools including Bel Air Music School and Park School of Baltimore. In addition to private piano teaching, Esti also taught musicianship classes in public and private schools in Maryland through a non-profit organization by Baltimore Symphony Orchestra Kids. The early teaching experiences had helped Esti in many ways. She believes that every student is unique to their own characteristics and learning styles. Therefore, Esti loves to design different teaching approaches that matches each students’ needs. Since the pandemic lockdown in 2020, Esti has been working on so many different ways to keep students motivated in learning and striving in piano playing through online teaching. Esti now is educating herself in directing her students to take ABRSM and Trinity Graded Piano Exams.
